Kenmare Halloween Howl

The Halloween Howl turns Kenmare over to a week of Halloween events in the run-up to 31 October, drawing on Samhain as much as on modern Halloween.

The programme runs to a parade, fancy dress competitions, haunted forest walks, workshops and storytelling, with most of it built around families. Much of it is free.

Late October is an underrated time to drive the Ring: the light is low and dramatic, the tour coaches have thinned out, and Kenmare during Howl week is one of the few places on the loop with real off-season atmosphere. Check what is still open before you set out, as many attractions close for the season around the end of October.
