Puck Fair 2026: which Killorglin streets close, and when
Kerry County Council has published the road closures for Puck Fair 2026. If you are driving the Ring of Kerry this week, Killorglin is effectively shut to through traffic each evening, so plan to pass through in the morning or take the bypass.
The closures run in stages:
- From 6pm Sunday 9 August to 1am Monday 10 August: Market Street, and Lower Bridge Street from the Bianconi Inn to the Square.
- Each day from 6am to 1am, Monday 10 to Thursday 13 August: Upper Bridge Street, the Square as far as Macks Corner, Lower Bridge Street as far as the Bianconi Inn, and Market Street.
- On 10 and 12 August, 6am to 1am: Langford Street, from Macks Corner to the entrance to the Paddocks.
- From 6pm Sunday 9 August to 1am Thursday 13 August: the Mill Car Park is closed.
- From 9pm Friday 7 August to 9pm Wednesday 12 August: the stretch from the Railway Road junction at the Aldi underground car park.
The practical read for a visitor: the town is walkable and busy, but not drivable, from late afternoon onwards on all three fair days. Park on the edge of town and walk in, and do not count on the Mill Car Park.
If you would rather see Killorglin without the crowds, come through early. The horse fair on Gathering Day starts at first light and the streets are clear again by mid-morning.
