Ireland BikeFest brings several thousand motorcyclists to Killarney over the June bank holiday weekend, with free live music, custom bike shows and organised ride-outs. 2026 marks its 20th year.
The ride-outs use the Ring of Kerry and the Gap of Dunloe road, so the loop carries a lot of motorcycle traffic across the weekend.
For drivers this is a mixed blessing: the roads are busy, but the atmosphere in Killarney is excellent and the town is at its liveliest. Book accommodation in Killarney well ahead, or stay in Kenmare and drive in.
