PJ O'Riordan Ring of Kerry Vintage Run
A late-April weekend, with the run itself on the Saturday. The 47th ran from 24 to 26 April 2026; the club has not published a 2027 date, so the one shown is a pattern-based estimate.
Runs every year
Based at the Castlerosse Park Resort, Killarney; the run itself covers the Ring of Kerry
The Kingdom Veteran Vintage & Classic Car Club's flagship run, and the one fixture on this site that uses the entire loop as its venue. A convoy of veteran, vintage and classic cars leaves Killarney on the Saturday morning and drives the Ring of Kerry.
The 47th ran in April 2026 from the Castlerosse Park Resort, a homecoming after several years based in Kenmare. It was at the Castlerosse in 1979 that the late Tom Twohill suggested to the late PJ O'Riordan that Kerry had enough interest to support a vintage car club of its own, and the run carries O'Riordan's name.
The shape of the weekend is consistent year to year. Entrants collect run packs at the hotel from 9.30am, the convoy leaves sharp at 11am, and a dinner dance follows that evening.
You do not have to enter to get something out of it. If you are driving the Ring that Saturday you will meet the convoy somewhere on the road, and it is worth timing a coffee stop around it.
