The Hardman Killarney

The Hardman Killarney is a long-course triathlon held on 29 August 2026. It opens with a swim in the Lakes of Killarney, then takes a cycle leg out along the Ring of Kerry before finishing back in Killarney.

For competitors it is one of the harder courses in Ireland, largely because of the climbing on the bike.

For everyone else the point is the roads. Expect cyclists on the loop for much of the day, particularly on the Killarney and Kenmare side, with the usual difficulty overtaking on the narrow sections. If you are driving the Ring on 29 August, start early or go the other way round.
