Wander Wild Festival

Wander Wild is built around getting people out into Killarney National Park, with guided walks, trail runs, cycles, kayaking, open water swims and a talks programme spread across the town and the park.

It runs over a weekend in mid-April, which is a good time to be here: the park is green and full of water, and the summer crowds have not arrived.

It is the most useful festival on this list if what you actually want from Kerry is the landscape rather than the towns. Many events need booking in advance and the popular guided walks sell out.
